Elizabeth Taylor is a highly recognized British-American actress, named the seventh among the Greatest Female Stars of All Time by the American Film Institute. She was born in 1897 in Hampstead, London, England. At the age of nine, she appeared in her first movie Lassie Come Home. She continued to star in television roles, winning several awards including the Academy Award for Best Actress in Butterfield 8. She became the highest paid actress in 1963. She had other passions including jewelry and perfumes, one of her popular fragrance being White Diamonds.
