  Giorgio Armani
Giorgio Armani, born in Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna in 1934 is a famous Italian fashion designer primarily known for his menswear collection. He worked as a window dresser in a department store and from 1961 to 1970, he worked in a well-known fashion house Nino Cerruti as a designer. He then worked as a freelancer and in 1974 established a menswear label, Giorgio Armani S.p.A with his partner Sergio Galeotti (died of AIDS in 1985). A womenswear label was launched the following year. Armani was also the first designer to ban models with a body mass index (BMI) under 18 (the minimum healthy BMI), after model Ana Carolina Reston died of anorexia nervosa. Armani lines include: Armani Exchange, Armani Jeans, Emporio Armani, Armani Collezioni, Armani Cosmetics, Armani Junior and Armani Casa. His fragrance launches include: (men) Armani Code, Armani Mania, Acqua Di Gio, Attitude, Emporio Armani, Remix, White (women) Sensi, Acqua Di Gio, Armani Le Perfum, Armani Code, Emporio Armani, Emporio Armani Diamonds and White.
