Hanae Mori
Hanae Mori is Japan's most successful female fashion designer. Her collections were shown on runways in Paris and New York and her perfumes Hanae Mori Butterfly and Hanae Mori Magical Moon are widely distributed in the United States. After graduating from Tokyo Women's Christian University, she married a wealthy husband and attended design school. She met Coco Chanel in the 1960s, who gave her the inspiration to pursue a career in haute couture. She designed for Princess Grace of Monaco and Crown Princess Masako of Japan, as well as designed costumes for operas, musicals and ballets. Her collections include shoes, stockings, gloves, ties, belts, handbags, umbrellas, sunglasses, among others.
